TinyMediaManager 3.1.6 hanging on "Getting Mediainfo"
#1
Released TinyMediaManager 3.1.6 hanging on "Getting Mediainfo" when I try to "Update source(s)".  I can let it run all night and it never progresses.  System configuration is below.  I've tried re-installing, but it still hangs.  The drive the media being searched is a NAS drive connected through 1 GbE switch.    The mapped drive is excluded from Microsoft Defender Antivirus.  I have confirmed that the only application using network and CPU resources is TinyMediaManager when the "Getting Mediainfo" is hung.  I do however see TinyMediaManager Network read BW usage up at +700Mbps (88 MBps) in TaskManager.   What is odd, I installed the nightly update TinyMediaManager 3.1.7 (2020-06-25) with the exact same settings and do not experience any such hangs.  Anyone with a pointer on how to get this going on the released version?

Window 10 2004 (OS build 19041.329)

I never saw a response for this issue, but still having issues with TMM hanging on "Getting Mediainfo" on 3.x.    I completely removed all previous installations and started with a new media on a synology NAS server.  Any pointers?  When I dig into the logs, I see...

are you using BluRay ISO files? If yes, it could be possible that neither Java or libmediainfo is able to open the file. In this case please mount the ISO file into your System and get mediainfo via MediaInfo GUI and export the mediainfo.xml for that file.

I've never done it myself so I don't know the exact process, but I hope some of our power users here can you guide to the exact process of creating those mediainfo.xml files

I have just standard DVD ISO files.  I tried a clean install and removed Kodi to see if that was in someway causing some problems.  The trace.log errors are pointing to some type of ISO file reading problem.  Any debug next steps?

looks like you've got a DVD iso which is not parseable with the Iso9660 implementation of v3..
there have been many changes to this handling in v4, but it could still be possible that v4 is not able to parse that too.. if that is still not working with v4 the only way to have a look at that would to debug exactly this iso file by one of us.

the safest way would be to mount it in windows and extract a mediainfo.xml file with mediainfo

v4 appeared to have the same challenges with those particular DVDs.  After some more trouble shooting, I believe the issue is is related to corrupted ISO files.  I'm not sure how (either random failure on the NAS or somehow going from daily to release versions of tmm), but was able to fix by archiving the original DVD ISOs.  I'm now able to get tmm to not hang on "getting media."   There are still a few errors being captured in the  trace.log file that may be making it take long than it should, but it does complete.  Below are a copy of a few of those errors in the trace.log file.
