I can select an SRT file after starting playback of a DVD ISO file, and it works fine (subtitles display) if the DVD itself has any subtitles defined.

BUT if the DVD has no 'native' subtitles at all, the local subtitles either don't display, or -- at best -- flicker and then disappear completely.

This is with Kodi 18.7.200.
