TMM not showing multiple versions of the same movie in one folder
#1
I name my movies for PleX like this:

Mad Max Fury Road (2015) [2160p 8ch].mkv
Mad Max Fury Road (2015) [1080p 6ch].mkv

But TMM is only showing one version of the movie under "media files."

I want to keep multiple versions in the same folder.

Is there a way to get TMM to display both media files?

Kodi itself does not have the ability to play/manage multiple versions of the same video (yet)
There is a feature ongoing (https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=337992) but it seems it is not ready.
-> it is not yet defined, how the file naming needs to look like to be picked up...
But i'm with you - if we have an exact title match and year, there might be a possibility to group them together

For the time being, you only have 2 possibilities:
- State one file as "main" movie, and movie the other version to an /extras/ folder...
- Maintain them as 2 different movies...

Another thing to consider:
If you have different "editions" like directors cut etc... you will have other information/posters/runtime on every scraping site like imdb/tmdb.
So they also maintain as separate movies...

OK Thanks. This makes sense.

I have multiple versions in a two main scenarios:
1. Directors cuts / extended editions / alternate versions (e.g., Star Wars 4K77, Star Wars Theatrical, Star Wars latest)
2. 2160p and 1080p versions

But this relatively rare - maybe 5% of the time.

Thanks for the reponse.
