So I'm pretty sure there is no such setting. Also I encountered that in the hubs the trailers directly play fullscreen.

I also encountered another issue. I cannot edit the shortcuts at all. Adding a new item or disabling an existing one is only being reflected in the settings but the actual shortcuts do not change at all. Eg just deleted the shortcut for search. But in fact it is still there. I wonder if this may be a problem of using Plex Kodi Connect and Titan Bingie together? Everything is up-to-date and went without any issue so far.

EDIT: So by disabling moving frame I was able to solve the fullscreen trailer problem in all views but in the main menu. It is not how it's supposed to work is it? Only in the main menu the trailers of movies are still directly starting fullscreen.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Are you talking about the 'Splash Screen Settings' section in General Skin Settings/Startup animations? There is either 'Netflix default', 'Netflix alternative', 'Netflix extended' or  'Disable (splash screen instead), with any of these options I can't see the option to choose your own image.

Just select this option and change the image. Roaming/Kodi/addons/skin.titan.bingie.mod/extras/media & bingie_splash.png

This mod really seems to be what we call a Hassliebe in German. You gotta love it because it is in fact the best skin existing for kodi. In the other hand tweaking is really hard since most of the options are not really explained properly, some are not working as you would expect, others are not working at all.

Settings > Skin settings > Media library views > Default action for trailers > Play automatically in window (Recommended).
But for me it is not there. Was it removed?

1. Play movie/open season does work when you click on a movie set dialogue video info.

2. The setting is still there I believe. I haven't removed it unless matke removed it. I haven't had a chance to look.

What addon are you trying to play the trailer from?
Download color picker from here? I'm not sure why it's not installing. This file also has Bingie info

This setting effect this section. If enabled then the movie will play instead of open the info. The movie set when in video info
My version of Bingie is a little different but still functions the same.

But that setting does not exist. Later you stated that you believe it has to be there because you did not remove it. Do you see it anywhere here:

Unfortunately I'm still not certain if something in my fresh setup got totally screwed - and I should just try to start over - or if it is just the state of Bingie Mod and I have to accept it.

I'm really trying to love Bingie Mod as it is in fact super beautiful - But settings not being named precisely enough so one knows what they are actuall doing, settings not working at all or settings simply not being present - and a maintainer just saying 'It works as it is supposed to' makes it really hard to love it.

The skin will not work with banned addons. Do you have any installed

I‘m using Plex Kodi Connect (think it is not banned) and Titan Bingie Mod on a fresh and clean Kodi 21.1 on Debian. No other addons.

The "Play Movie/Open Seasons Instead Open Info" option is located under the "Video Information" settings. This means that this option refers to the content within the video info dialog. That means it refers to collections, more like this...
You have to read first which option you are in and what it affects. Also, read more carefully the answers that people give you.
As for automatic trailers, there has been no option to open them in fullscreen for a long time. Why it sometimes opens in fullscreen, I really don't know what it could be. I didn't notice that, but I'll look into it a little more when I have time.
Problems with trailers in spotlight is a Kodi problem, not a skin problem. When you play any video, widget is refreshed and automatically switches to the next movie. Any widget that is set to random will have this problem.
Adding a shortcut to submenus works perfectly, you are doing something wrong.

I'm coming back to the issue that is now resolved, thanks to the option 'Set Default Select' in the Homescreen layout menu for adding.
