Just installed Kodi on a fresh install of Windows and the get more skins option does nothing. Looking it up online it seems you have to add the feature via add-ons > repository. But of course, when I try to do that it gives me a spinning disc then some message about how it's not available. In the meantime I add my sources and I can already see it misidentifying media (How I Met Your Mother is apparently something called KAK BCTPETNA R BAWY MAMY, because of course it is). Sigh. Why does Kodi have so many problems these days?

First things first, before I have to yet again dive headlong into finding other programs to correctly identify my media for me - how do I sort out the issue of getting the get more skins feature?

"Get More" works perfectly well for me, which version of Kodi are you using?

Also, that is the Russian title for the show How I Met your Mother, is that the title which is being applied or just the poster?

And of course, a Debug Log would help as these problems are not universal, most people use Kodi without issues, I use it every day

EDIT - I had a look on TMDB and it seems you might be scraping a remake of the show, here https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/85267 which is dated 2010. If you date your show as How I Met Your Mother (2005) it should pick up the correct version of the show. Kodi cannot be sure which version you have without the year.

You're right, it's scraped it as the Russian remake or whatever it is. I've never thought to include the year a show came out in the folder name as I'd always included the year a film came out in the name of the film file itself, not it's folder. I've removed both sources and will add them again the next time I run the program and will see what happens. For some reason it also decided that all ten seasons of Friends was now two seasons worth of some Winnie the Pooh show called My Friends Tigger & Pooh. Why? Why not? It makes as much sense as Kodi usually does

Also apparently adding the correct start years to the end of every tv show folder does nothing as yet again I'm getting the Russian remake of How I Met Your Mother and all ten seasons of Friends are, once again, My Friends Tigger & Pooh.

There's always something going wrong with Kodi, isn't there? Sometimes it almost makes me long for the days of WMC.
