Duplicate entries by scraper - Subtitles mistaken as video files ?
#1
Hi,
i'm getting duplicate entries on TV Show episodes having Subs subfolder, seems like it mistakes the compressed subtitle file for a video file.

On my CoreElec (nightly_20200728) if that matters, using Add-on:Archive support, Kodi 18.8 (18.8.0) Git:026552b73abaa24ca8b14c6cda7ba6da8b638156). Platform: Linux ARM 32-bit

Check the full file path on a couple of these doubles, they will refer to different files I'm sure. You can display the full path in Estuary's information page.

Seems to be linked to Add-on:Archive support , only happens when it's installed.

Indeed ! One refers to the actual video file (OK), the other refers to a compressed .sub file in a subfolder.
I opened an issue in the archive support addon repo : https://github.com/xbmc/vfs.libarchive/issues/48

Is this related to the subtitles not saving next to the video bug? I noticed the behavior around the same time.

I believe this is the issue. There are several open issues for this in the git repo. https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/18232

I'd be curious to know why Kodi even looks for video files when you "browse" for subtitles. Kodi should only look for available subtitle files even if the don't match the video file name. There is no reason to look for video files.
