v17 How to implement Player.updateInfoTag() in Kodi 17?

Hi,

I want to update the current player info in the notification,
I see there is a new function (Player.updateInfoTag()) that relevant only from v18.
How can I implement this purpose also in v17?
(Currently I can set the info tag only in the play() function but it updates only once)
