First off let me start by saying that this skin is amazing.

My issue is that I have moves kept in 2 completely separate folders. The same goes for tv shows too. Given how its all setup, the folder structure can't change.

Is there a way to collate the contents of both movie folders into a single list so when i select 'all movies' button in the movies section, movies from both folders will appear?

I plan on doing the same with tv shows too.

I was thinking custom xml list but not sure if that will work.

It should already work like that as long as you added both folders in as media sources in Kodi Settings then scan them into the library but also try AutoWidget for the question in hand. Though again it should already work like this
