Hi everyone, so I just bought a 65” vizio oled from Best Buy for $1079.
I’m trying to figure out my Kodi solution now. The 4K ccwgtv is looking really attractive considering its price.
I’m looking for dolbyvision playback. As far as audio my soundbar only supports vanilla DD and DTS.
From what I’ve gathered from this thread, the 4K ccwgtv with the custom maven build will suit my needs just fine?

So I went ahead and purchased a ccwgtv and installed the maven build. Couple of issues.
I’m getting ‘source too slow for continuous playback’ on my bluray remux’s that my rpi had no problem playing. I’m gonna grab a usdc hub with a gigabit port to hopefully resolve that.
The other issue is if I set the chromecast to prefer Dolbyvision, Kodi won’t put my tv into hdr mode for regular hdr10. If I set the chromecast to prefer hdr, then the Dolbyvision won’t play back correctly. So I have to go into the chromecast settings to flip that around which is a little annoying.

Hello.
I was using Kodi 19 on my Raspberry Pi 4 and everything was working perfectly for my use, including the Audio passtrough (DTS receiver).
Now I migrated to Chromecast with Google TV (Android 12), downloaded Kodi and I can't use DTS Passthrough, when enabling Audio passtrough and DTS I get no audio, my Setup remains the same as the RPi4.
Is this some issue/limitation of Chromecast? Android? or Kodi specifically from that version?
I can only have audio on Chromecast if I disable Audio passtrough, but I only get 2.0 audio on the receiver.
any tips?

On balance, is the general understanding that this device is a good option for its price point? I've skimmed the thread but it's somewhat hard to assess how it compares to other similar devices.
I'd be using it on a 1080p display until I upgrade to 4k, and be primarily playing remux files from the google drive addon.

Looking for a Kodi device for a 1080p tv. Is there a noticeable performance difference between the HD an 4K device?
1080p feels like the logical choice, unless 4K version makes the kodi experience better. They have different chips but unsure what this means in practice. Read somewhere 1080p supports av1.
