I hope that Kodi will support easy browsing and playing of videos on Odysee with the creation of an Add-On which ideally would work on CoreELEC, an increasingly popular platform being used by people to browse content on their TV.

The sooner people are able to leave privacy destroying, Big Data platforms the better. There has already been some progress in this area with an add-on for Bitchute. LBRY offers some technological advantages over Bitchute and will hopefully become a major video sharing site in the near future, as people look for alternatives.

As e.g. Youtube makes day by day more difficult for viewers and creators to escape their advertising-focused world, having a mature player for an independent platform like LBRY would be a welcome addition to Kodi.

I actually found a Rumble one but you can't login so you have to add your subscribed channels manually. Works pretty well. Just would like a Brighteon one now..

It looks like https://api.lbry.tv/api/v1/proxy has finally been kicked to the curb and that the lbry add-on i've found (Leia'sdefault repo) no longer works.
Anyone have info on a path forward?

This is an unofficial documentation for the LBRY API. api.odysee.com is used for centralized services provided by LBRY Inc such as view counts and video blocks. For metadata and video streams, api.lbry.tv is used.
I found this elsewhere on odysee site..
I will try an to tinker with the current script to see if just changing the api endpoint might fix the issue.
