I have several kodi instances around the house. I will select a few hours worth of music on kodi box ‘A’ but then go downstairs and I want to continue listening to the queue on kodi box ‘B’.

I share a mariadb between the four boxes if that helps.

is this possible?

It's possible with yatse.
But personally I solved this with using snapcast on all instances and a snapcast server on one of them, so I start music on the instance running the snapcast server (via yatse, kore or web interface) and am able to control (with snapcast app) which instance(s) should playback...
