Hello everybody,
i have created my own icons and also my own background for the settings menu.
The changes I have made are all under \storage\.kodi\addons\skin.aeon.nox.silvo. A skin update would overwrite these changes. So I want to make the changes in the userdata directory, but I don't know if this is even possible. For example I have saved the textures.xbt with the changed icons under \storage\.kodi\userdata\addon_data\skin.aeon.nox.silvo\media, but this file is ignored by Kodi. If I copy the file into the directory \storage\.kodi\addons\skin.aeon.nox.silvo\media it works, but here the changed file would be overwritten by an update.
Does anyone have an idea? How can I tell Kodi to look at the user data first?
I have the same problem with own or other Movie genre icons. In the System-Skin directory no problem, but under user_data these icons are ignored by Kodi.
