If Kodi does not crash when you launch it but only show a black then the kodi.log file should be created.

Now my guess is that your Kodi app is running in sandboxed mode and your Kodi.log file is somewhere in one of the directory of this folder /var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/....

When nothing was working I deleted everything and reinstalled. Same problem...and no log.
Rebooted, rejailbroke etc.... no change.
---
Renamed the kodi.old.log to kodi.log - no change.
Deleted any preferences w/the Kodi name associated.  (there was the kodi directory, and a kodi.old.log)
Uninstalled, reinstalled...black screen.
Downgraded to different versions...black screen...

I 'could' do a factory reset and rejailbreak. Risk of iOS not being signed and have no way to re-jailbreak.
(side note ~ will be looking to do a home kodi server at some point so the jb is not as required)

So I did a factory reset....reinstalled the os from scratch... jailbroke it again.

So, removed the jailbreak completely... iOS looks fine and in the process now of rejailbreaking.

This is crazy.

Installed (and used)
NewTerm, Filza. When I go the the Preferences <via root>var>mobile>Libary>Preferences> - every one is com.apple. Nothing for Kodi etc.

I have no idea why you do not have any log file after a Kodi run ...

You can try to install Kodi by sideload if method if needed.

Only have AltServer for a side load. Is there an .ipa available to give it a go?

AltStore is not working for Kodi.
You can use iOS App Signer if you are on a mac.

Hi @pixelrogue, can you try the steps given in this post: https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2990871
It seems that I finally found a fix for iPad users but if I would like maximum iPad users feedback before updating Kodi on Cydia.
Thank you!

Edit: Version 18.9-3 is now available on Cydia and fixes this issue. See https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid2986409

Thank you for your help!
