My Fire TV Gen 2's HDMI output is connected to my Yamaha 5.1 AVR, and the video output of the AVR is connected to Number 1 of three HDMI inputs to my HDTV. My computer is connected to Number 2 HDMI input. Kodi plays music perfectly as long as my HDTV is set to HDMI 1, but when I'm working on my computer, I usually want to listen to music via Kodi. However, for some unknown reason, roughly half the time I try this, the music cuts in and out every couple of seconds. It doesn't sound like it's pausing temporarily, but rather cutting in and out.
I'm sure you can imagine how infuriating this is!
It doesn't matter what version of Kodi I'm running -- it happened with v16 and still happens with v18.9. That being the case, it doesn't seem to be Kodi's fault, but I don't know where else to start. If I could figure out what's different between when it works fine and cuts in & out, I could probably find a solution. I was hoping that if I used the Web interface from my computer, the problem wouldn't occur, but sadly it does anyway. I've disabled all hardware acceleration, but that doesn't fix it either.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could try next, please?
Thanks!
