Req Select channel by number Tvheadend Client
#1
Hi to all,
I tried to search in the forum but did not find any solution. Excuse in advance if I missed something in writing this post, I'm a newbie.

I have Kodi 18 on Libreelec 9.2.6 installed on my Raspberry PI 2B, controlled by Kore app.
Yesterday I installed TVHeadend for watching DVB-T TV channels. It works smooth, but I have a question: is it possible to select a channel by typing its number, rather than using just channel+ or channel-?

Regards

Yes. Should work OTB dependent on your remote.

Hi Tredman, thanks for your answer. So basically it will work with a remote, is it possible to reproduce the same behavior also on kore android app?

That's built in by default - you can enter the channel number through a keyboard (USB, Bluetooth etc.), a correctly configured remote control etc.  I use an old PVR remote with my LibreElec/CoreElec installs - which I've installed the correct IR codes for (on a Pi you can add IR control relatively by soldering a suitable TSOP IR receiver to the right power, ground and GPIO pin).

Afraid I don't have an Android phone to test Kore. If it has a keypad or keyboard option it should work OK.

Kore has a keyboards support, but just when inserting data for search boxes (youtube, netflix and so on), therefore I think the only way is to use a physical remote. Sad
