Linux How to install Kodi Leia 18.9 on Debian testing?
#1
I did a Debian upgrade from Buster to Testing due to old versions of Buster packages.
I was surprised there is version 19 beta 2 of Kodi in debian testing.

I want switch to Leia 18.9 because many add-ons doesn't work yet in 19 beta2.

How to install Kodi Leia 18.9 on Debian Testing?

I've trying to add busater repository and install from them, but there is a dependency problem.

I think the moving from Ubuntu to Debian was probably not good after all.
But I don't want to reinstall the system now.

Debian is perfectly fine for running Kodi. Easiest way I think is to compile Kodi. Have a look at this repository in Github, it has a set of scripts to ease the compilation and installation of Kodi in Debian/Ubuntu systems. Note that the documentation is a bit outdated, now the configuration.sh script is working. I will update the docs ASAP.
