Using custom EDID changes HDMI port numbers
#1
Hi.

I have quite typical setup (I think) with Ubuntu box connected to AVR which then is connected to a video projector. I had the issue that if AVR is not powered when booting the system, I get black display.

By googling I found this guide:
https://kodi.wiki/view/Archive:Creating_..._xorg.conf

And success, I have video after reboot. I used the first method with "get-edid" program.

But the mystery is.. If I boot with AVR powered off, NVidia drivers show that HDMI0 is being used. If I boot with AVR powered on, HDMI1 is used! But there is picture in both cases.

It was HDMI1 before the trickery.

The main problem here is that I lose audio whenever HDMI port changes, I have to go through Kodi settings to select correct port.
