Hello, good evening. 
Does Kodi support .vtt subtitles? 
I am trying to watch some .mkv files that have vtt subtitles muxed in.
When I play the files back using VLC player, I can see the subtitles, but not in Kodi version 18.9. 
If the subtitle format are not natively supported, any idea of when they might be please?

Kodi currently can't read free-standing .vtt files. (as of Kodi 19 RC1).  IIRC if you mux vtt into MKV with MKVmerge Kodi can't read it, but you can with ffmpeg.
