v19 RC1 - freezes when accessing SMB share (and update library)
#1
Accessing my SMB shared folders takes a long time (when there are only two or five movies in it). V18 did that in a split second.
I'm accessing the folders through the main menu - Movies - Files
https://paste.kodi.tv/nidivubiye.kodi

When I want to access my main movie folder (with 400+ movies in it), Kodi freezes.

Kodi also freezes when I want to update my library (the 400+ movie folder), but I think that is related to the previous. No Log for this included. If you want one, please let me know.

Thanks for looking into this. If you need more info, I'm available.

edit: I noticed that in the LOG file there is a 'password combination was not accepted'. But I was able to scan those movies to the library the first time. And all the movies that were scanned during that first time, are presented in my library. I can also play those files, so I don't think there's a password problem.

AudioEngine D1, Synology DS218j NAS (SMB protocol)

Need your debug log posted to a pastebin, but I can tell you I have had issues where Kodi on a Win 10 machine had problems getting username/password accepted by an smb file share.  Also have it happen with the windows file explorer which suggests to me a windows credential problem.  I've seen many questions on line about this and people trying to help all want to look at an SMB v1 issue or problem with services not running on the windows machine but that isn't the problem.

I have seen a restart of Win 10 mysteriously fixes the credential problem.

Thank you for the response.

I looked a bit further into the password username thing. I allways do a full clean install of Kodi with a major new release. So I also wiped my user folder. When adding my library sources yesterday I now notice I used an old username password combo that shouldn't be working at all! I will definitly look into this on my server side.

I deleted all my sources, deleted the library folder in the userdata and started all over again with my up to date username password combo.

Everything works fine now. Including the library update.
