SMB audio library is not scanned
#1
The audio library is not scanned via SMB finds only 6 performers (folders) the rest does not scan, I tried to clear the music database - it does not help.

Not sure what you mean exactly by "clear" the database, but the Clean Database operation is indeed likely not enough. Kodi still needs to be learned a few tricks there.
Make a backup copy of the current music database, and start with a totally new/empty music database.

Then in case of problems, provide a new debug log (wiki) file, preferably via our own paste service (retention = approx 60 days) instead of a Google account. IMO, Google doesn't need to know everything.

@KillerHT Please remove the three banned repositories from your setup.  You don't appear to have any addons installed from them, but even so. Then submit a clean fresh log.  Thanks.

In the meantime, the music info scanner generates an exception, presumably because it can't find a file.

I found one of the problems: the folder had a $ symbol in its name, for example $ 7000, but the library is still not scanned completely - apparently there are still "problems" with the names of directories / files - when will this be fixed?

It was scanned but *NO* changes were observed.

Edit: ahum.. I forgot the word 'no' .

Perhaps too obvious, but do your music files have embedded metadata @KillerHT? Scanning to library requires tags or cuesheets.

Of course, there is metadata in audio files, and cue if needed, but it's not about the fact that some files are not added to the library, but the scanning process stops altogether! In the music section, I have 176 artist folders, and kodi scans only 10-20 pieces and is interrupted ..

I think the problem is that my library folders that Kodi scans are torrent distributions in transmission which has a feature - for some reason it downloads files even those that are not marked for download (this is its feature / problem) - it applies the extension to large files .part but to .cue is not because it is too small and it turns out that there are .cue files that refer to empty (not downloaded) files .. I cannot change transmission because it is on the NAS server.

The problem could be solved if it was possible to specify Kodi exceptions for certain file extensions (.cue) - but I did not find one like this, it seems there is no such functionality?
