Hi,
I was previously using Kodi 18, and I absolutely loved the skin "Estuary Mod" https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=306757

It was really similar to the base kodi skin, but it was displaying A LOT of logos, images, artworks, posters of the movie, all over the screen. It does that in the collection but also during playing a movie. It puts your all screen in the ambiance of the movie you're about to see. I love that. It looked like this :

Unfortunately, the skin is no longer updated and not compatible with Kodi Matrix. I'm looking for skins that also use a lot of movie images, what could you recommend me ?

A skin that also tries to integrate more data, like Embuary Skin which displays "now playing" and "future cinema releases" from TheMovieDB. That is great and it would be a big advantage too.

I would recommend you try a few skins, see what you might like.

1. Aeon Tajo

• Supports more than 1 poster per movie, animatedposter, keyart, logo, characterart, actress art, fanart, animatedthumb for (artists), animated album cover, clearart and more.
  
• Supports Embuary info for online data. 
  
• Displays what is in Cinema, what is popular etc via a Widget
  
• Plays you fanart in a slide show as a screen saver called "Netflix style Screen saver".
  
• Texture feels like Estuary in some ways.
  
• Downside, supports only horizontal menu, no support for image resource addons like coloured studio icons, music label icons etc
  
• Full fledged Aeon Tajo is very heavy, luckily, the settings are grouped per the device capability. 
  
• It has extra more features unique to this skin alone you have to find out for yourself
  
• Currently my favourite skin for Matrix.
  

2. Aeon Nox Silvo

• Supports all of the above except animatedthumb, animated album cover and Netflix style Screen saver.
  
• Supports extra ratings like Metacritic and Tomatometer.
  
• Supports both horizontal and vertical home menu
  
• Supports image resource addons
  
• Device requirements are similar to Estuary Mod V2
  

3. Aeon MQ Matrix Mods by latts9923

• Supports all of the above
  
• Supports online information via Extended info addon just like Estuary Mod V2 but this addon is bulky and outdated compared to Embuary info
  
• Try MQ 8 Mod first.
  
• These mods are heavy, you need a reasonably powerful system
  

You do not need to install all of these skins. You can just check out some screen shots first, see if the skin is even to your liking before you try it out. Even better, check out the videos posted by the skin devs that show case different views and parts of the skin.

By the way, I was a big fan of Estuary Mod V2 too. Took me a lot of time and energy to move on.

If you have a Windows PC, then install Kodi as a Portable application and try out the skins. Then delete the Kodi folder when you are done.

Thanks, but this does not really work for trying skins. Most of the plugins of most of the skins fails at launch when installed on the portable Kodi version.

It works perfectly fine for me. I have 5 different portable installs on my pc, used for testing various builds or older versions.

I too am an artwork junkie and I have tried probably every skin out there. I would highly recommend Aeon MQ 7, 8, or 9. Make sure to download the modded version. I recently purchased Aeon MQ 9, and I am loving it. Also sign up for fanart.tv, TMDB, OMDB api keys.
