Video hangs; Kodi restarts.
#1
I'm never sure whether I should post here or over at the LibreElec forum, so i throw myself at the mercy of the masses. I also posted there.

I have this one video that reliably hangs at a particular spot. I haven't watched the entire movie yet, but it's about 54 minutes in and is fine before and after the hang (for at least a little while).

Kodi crashes -- with a log (password MBX4teZmuc -- https://pastebin.com/pJHxuFTm).

I've opened the movie on another machine running Ubuntu + both "Videos" (the default Ubuntu video viewer and VLC. Both of these handle the troubled spot just fine.

Anyway... it's not a huge deal, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

P.S.  normally, this installation on a RPI4 behaves very well. Once in a while, we'll be watching TV on it and it will hang, but it's very rare. This has been the first one I've seen that's completely reproducible.

Creating a log file with a password is not helpful Smile

BTW, please provide a debug log next time.

Ok - here are two logs. One debug and one crash (while debug on).

Hopefully that works better.

And thank you.

What kind of pi is it?
Pi4 with 1GB ram?

That crash happens inside an ffmpeg library, which contains some extra patches for the pi.
Kodi 18.x will not receive any updates.
But chances are that this bug was already fixed.

You may want to grab a spare sd-card to avoid killing your current setup, install LE 10 beta on it and try with the file that produced the crash.
If it continues crashing your pi a 5 minute sample that reliably reproduces the crash might be useful to the developers.

Not yet. All new forum members get to experience the forum's anti-spam measures during the first few moments of their presence here. You will get your edit powers in the very near future.

Yes.

Good suggestions, thank you. I'll give that a try when I get some time.
