Kodi 19.1 not starting
#1
I had Kodi 18.9 working on my PC and upgraded to 19.1.  But 19.1 does not start up.  After clicking kodi.exe, the windows spinning circle spins and then disappears.  Kodi does not start up at all. I tried installing/uninstalling several times.  I even downgraded back to 18.9 and now that does not start anymore either. I think I cleaned up all files/folders each time, so I cannot figure out why it's not starting up at all.
Here is the info:
1. Kodi version: 19.1 and 18.9
2. Windows 10 Home, 20H2, build 19042.985, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0
3. CPU: Intel® Core™ i7 CPU - 930  @ 2.80GHz   2.79 GHz
4. RAM: 6 GB
5. Graphics: 2x AMD Radeon 5800 in CrossFire

I cannot figure out to upload the log file into the link, so here is the KODI log file - there is a crashlog too

Mod edit: moved the log to the paste site.

@Peterke057 Please do not post the logs in the forum.
To "upload" the log just open your log in your text editor, copy the contents, go to Kodi Paste Site site , paste the contents, click the "save" button in the top right corner it's the one that looks like a floppy disk.
The url of the site in the address bar will change to something like https://paste.kodi.tv/osomivujuq.kodi , paste the url in the forum.

@Peterke057 This is a known problem with Kodi 19.1 , it has already been fixed.
Right now you can have 2 options:
1) Download and install fixed Kodi from https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...pid3039345 , you can install it over your existing installation.
2) Uninstall 19.1 , install 19.0 from https://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/windows...xe?https=1 and wait for release 19.2

I installed 19.0 but it also does not start up. Log file at: https://paste.kodi.tv/supahazepi.kodi

Try renaming the guisettings.xml file in your Userdata, e.g. old_guisettings.xml, so a new one is generated.

Hi, were you able to solve this problem? I am also having the same issue, happened after windows 10 update to 20H2. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling 18.9, 19.0, 19.1 changing name of guisettings.xml but nothing worked. When I try to start it up, it just quits... No other programs are affected?
