Not sure what this section of Kodi is called. I want to change the screen that comes up while playing music. Is this a visualizer? That's the closest thing I can find. But I don't want dancing bars or anything. Prefer something clean and modern that shows off album art.

the name of that window is visualisation.
the look and feel of that window is controlled by MusicVisualisation.xml, which is part of the skin you're using.

you would have to mod the skin if you'd like to make visual changes, it's not possible to do that with an addon.
