Hey guys i have looked through the threads and found a few posts of a similar question. But thought i would bring it up again with a few versions higher of kodi.
Is there a way to preview the epggrid from the home screen window. Or create a fake window with 2 fixedlist when a content item gains focus and populate them with 8 channels and there promgrams. Or current channel and 7 above or below. Just to give the apperance of the epggrid on the right. So when onlick happens it opens the actual pvr window.  We can view the pvr stream from the home screen but not the guide..?..This may sound derpy to sOme peOple... ?

depending on your layout conditions
i think you can try creating a panel or list and define your focused layout
using the available info labels 'n' control

(e.g. progress control if ListItem.HasEpg
