No sound for 6-8 seconds after fast forwarding
#1
After fast forwarding, and then hitting play to resume, there is no audio for several seconds. I'm playing local files, Kodi 19.1.0 64 bit, Windows 10 21H1 Pro.

Found these when searching, same problem, but no solutions:

Any idea? Otherwise I'll have to downgrade back to 17.6 or older, but I like the new version :-(.

P.S. Skipping does not show you what happens, fast forward does. So please don't do the stackoverflow meme and respond 'just use skip and not fast forward', that does not help.

Debug log (wiki) please, including the fast forwarding bits.

Here it is:
https://paste.kodi.tv/patefewagu.kodi

What I did:
- started Kodi, wait few seconds
- started a movie, wait few seconds
- fast forward (4x speed, hit 'f' twice) a few seconds
- hit play (spacebar), let it play until audio came back (5-10 seconds)
- stopped movie, exit Kodi

As far as I can tell, this happens with all movies / tv shows I play, not only this random one in the log.

Did anyone look at this issue after the log was provided?

The log link provided doesn't seem to be functional atm. But in a general support question, I would say Kodi isn't a video editor and classic editing movement isn't going to happen, (think of Kodi as a multi-media player) jumping around a video using the bar (mouse input) takes a few sec but does work for me. Depending on how the media is encoded, the video & audio streams are separate and need some moments to reconcile, some skins are more direct in operation, might be a bit of a factor along with the gfx engine in use, along with the cpu burden.
