I can't believe this is still going on for well over a year. Does no one use Kodi for music anymore? Having it dim during music visualization despite the switch set not to, makes the music module useless to me.

nah i dont have nearly enough information to determine it is or isnt a windows thing
i was pointing out your operating system hasnt changed since October 22nd 2009 and youre talking about things "still" being broken after a year so maybe if you want something to change then you should change something
debug is still not enabled in that new log...
"Disabled debug logging due to GUI setting. Level 0."

Have you turned on 'Disable screensaver when playing audio'?

Are you referring to Settings/Interface/Screensaver/ "Use visualisation if playing audio"? That is ticked on.

Looks like it's been changed recently then as it's no worded differently on a nightly build. I did test 19.3.0 but the visualiser started instead of the screensaver for me.

So technically I don't want to see the visualization, just all the artist/song info. I just press 'tab' when the music starts to see it. Then after the screensaver timeout period the screen dims. Though I'm using Estuary skin as I sort out this problem but also tried Aeon NOX with same result. Is there some code needed in a skin's musicvisualization.xml that tells Kodi not to activate a screensaver?
In other words, what I want is all the artist info to stay on screen during music playback and not dim or the Picture Slideshow screensaver to activate.
EDIT: I might have figured this out. Using Aeon Nox, installed Waveform visualization, and in music visualization settings selected to hide visualization (Waveform) behind Artist Slideshow fanart.

Use the Dim screensaver but set its Brightness level to 100%.
