This is how to install the Eminence 2 Mod by Alanon on Matrix. I made a few changes to the skin to make it Matrix ready. Everything seems to work well so far. Let me know if you have any issues.
These dependencies must be installed in this order, skin last.

Looks like this doesn't work on v19.1. When trying to install 'thetvdb', the dependency 'simplecache' could not be satisfied.

Nevermind, this works -- I just had to do a clean install.

Yea, I tested it multiple times on a fresh install to get the order right.

Thank you for making this available in v19.1.  I was really disappointed that Eminence wasn't available.  This is my favorite skin, and I'm happy that it's now available.

not sure if this is the place to report bugs with Eminence on Matrix, but there seems to be an issue with refresh rates / video flickers on background playing videos.

seems like when inside a sub-menu, its OK, but if you return to home screen and have the "Show Background Video" option checked in the background skin settings, the video flickers alot (almost headache inducing).

background videos in Confluence skin dont do this, so it really seems like a Eminence thing.

let me know if this is the right place to post, or/and if you need any more information. thanks

Well, I just tested this on my Windows PC, and background videos are playing fine on the home screen. Maybe you have a lower end device? Eminence skin is more resource hungry than Confluence. Maybe test it on another device. I dont see an issue here. Maybe check the links in the first post to see if theres any newer/updated dependencies for the versions you installed.

Hi, I'm new to this forum.
Firstly thanks for your contribution to make this tutorial. I followed these steps and almost everything works perfectly.

However, there is few display problem. I'm not sure if this happens because I ignored some related skin settings.

1. In video library, no matter what view mode I choose ( in this case, I choose "Posters with info" ), the icon and "Last Episode" info doesn't show up.
But according to the preview thumb of the view modes, this info exists.
As the pic below shows:


I'm sure that the <status> entry in the tvshow.NFO is "Ended". But maybe is there any entry like <lastepisode> to have this works?


2. In video library, when browsing the TV Shows information, there's no tmdb rating beside the imdb rating which is my default rating in *.NFO.
As the pic below shows:

While when browsing the Movie information, the tmdb rating works normally.

3. The "Events" in the Settings panel is whole blank, which means that I cant access log setting or check system events.

Yea, its fine here using this mod version. Havent tested the Regular version of Eminence. So why not just use this version? It just has some extra features.

Sry forgot to write, i'm using already this MOD for Matrix here!
So a) its a wrong option like tv refresh rate or b) something wrong with my Eminence MOD for Matrix (this one here) on a fresh LibreElec 1o.

But strange thing is on my quick and dirty skin testing, some skins are fine with Background Video, some not!
And i'm not the only one, we are two with this problem!

Maybe try turning OFF hardware acceleration in Settings/Player/Video/Processing?

Ok, i switched in Settings/Player/Video/Processing the PRIME Render-Method from Direct To Plane to EGL and it fixes the flickering (Show Background Video & Widget)!
the two above options are still enabeld.
