Hi - was trying to test a few formats for my audio CD rips and seems like xHE-AAC is one of the best compressed formats out there right now - is there a way to play it in Kodi? or will there ever be?

Anything come of this at all? I tried the latest available and still no go. Anyone know what specific resources/files need updated or if any addons can make these work?

Yeah, I had a feeling about that. Found it on a brave search. Was hoping someone knew of another way to get them to play, addon maybe?

Anyone know what resources I need to replace if I compile my own ffmpeg with xhe-aac support? I see ffmpeg references in the log.txt but I can't find where it's physically located.

Thank you for the reply, though not helpful. Where are the ffmpeg resources that Kodi uses? Baked into the .exe file? That's the info I'm looking for please.
