This is the 1st time ever that someone complained about the brightness of "the whole system", without giving ANY technical details on the problematic hardware.
Sorry, but you will have to do better than that. Who knows, you may have installed Kodi onto a smart coffee pot.

If you don't have the system that allows for brightness control, use the panel/TV controls.
