recognizing the titles of movies in Kodi
#1
I don't know if I'm in the right place with my problem.
I've been having a problem recognizing the titles in Kodi for a while now.
I have bought several media boxes, including the last one the Nvidia shield tv pro and already had the Ugoos am6 pro and on loan the Nokia Streaming Box 8000.
They all run the same version of Kodi 19.1.
The Nvidia supports more audio tracks than the Ugoos or the Nokia Streaming Box 8000.
Settings are identical and are connected to my Synology Nas via NFS.
With the Ugoos and the Nokia Streaming Box 8000, films are recognized and with the Nvidia not after scanning.
It is no problem for series because they are all recognized there.
I have tried the flat folder and the movie folder and the Split Video Files method for saving the movies.
Have made folders with the alphabet with the movies in a folder with the mkv or iso file.
As an example, folder A contains a folder titled A-X-L (2008) and in it is the mkv file titled A-X-L (2008).
But there are a lot of movies that are not recognized in the library.
So what I mean is that Kodi isn't looking for the info about the movie, including the info about the actors and the trailer and a lot more information.
Because he doesn't recognize them, I don't see them in the complete overview of all films.
What it does with the other brands of media players, including Nokia Streaming Box 8000 and the Ugoos am6 pro .
And these all work with the same version of Kodi.
I have found that more than 40% of my film titles are not recognized.
This can be found if you use an addon missing movies.
I can see the movies that I don't see in the scanned library if I choose via video and then my via files.
I can see and play them there, but I don't get the info there that you do see in the library.
I have several such movies in this kind of file and he doesn't recognize many of them this way, not even this movie.
Now I did a test by immediately putting the mkv or iso files of all movies in folder A.
But still the same movies are not recognized on the Nvidia.
But in the Ugoos player they are recognized in which of the 2 ways.
I had a Nokia Streaming Box 8000 on loan to test and the movies were recognized there.
So basically what should be the best player has trouble recognizing movie titles.
The Nokia struggled because of too small an internal memory for my situation.
The Ugoos does not recognize all attached audio files.
If anyone has a solution or the same problem, I'd love to hear it.
I also tried logging in via SMB to the Synology Nas but got the same result.
I also put my problem to Nvidia helpdesk and they couldn't do anything for me and forwarded me to Kodi.
So I hope someone can help me.

Please provide a Debug Log that captures an Update Library.

But first check that item 1d is disabled... https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=336969
