Android 4K+ pictures displayed in worse quality in less than 4K resolution

Thanks a lot for the instructions. I did the logging with both versions of kodi - nightly build and the normal  build. You can see their exact apk names below. Both are fresh install, with GUI resolution set to unlimited as the only one setting that's changed.

Some extra inputs:
1. Actually the 16:9 aspect ratio 4K videos also suffer this blank screen problem, while the 4096x2160 resolution video played during the replication didn't bring up any blank screen.
2. Vertical videos in 1080x1920 and 720x1280 resolution played during the replication were also free of blank screen, strangely.
3. Each time I freshly install the normal build Kodi, the first time I exit it after launching it always ended up with a freeze screen with that small EXIT panel in the screen center. Have to restart my fire tv stick and then re-launch Kodi and then Kodi works fine. While the Nightly build never gave me such problem.

Just verified again with kodi-19.3-Matrix-armeabi-v7a, that if a video is in exact 16:9 aspect ratio, it'll bring the blank screen up, be it 720p, 1080p or 2160p; if it's not the exact 16:9 aspect ratio, be it 1920x1036, 1920x960, 1920x804, 2560x1280, 3840x1920, etc. as long as there's black bars on the screen, it will run free of this problem. No wonder I never came across this problem with the 2.35:1 movies.

Below is the logging with this verification.

Do you have match refresh rate enabled?

Just went through the settings but I didn't have the luck finding it. But all the logs were done with fresh installation of Kodi, so all the settings are untouched except the GUI being unlimited.
