Xbox Picture Quality vs Intel Nuc

On Xbox Series S at least native 4K output only works if is used 10 bit swapchain.

This means that is need 4K HDR TV to able detect 10 bits capability.

On 4K (not HDR) TV resolution is 1080p by default even if is configured all in 4K (is obtained a quality similar to 1080p upscaled to 4K).

A workaround to use 4K on not HDR TV (or if HDR is not detected for any reason: bad cables, adapters, converters, splitters, etc.) is use advancedsettings:

https://kodi.wiki/view/Advancedsettings.xml

with option:

xml:
<advancedsettings>
  <try10bitoutput>true</try10bitoutput>
</advancedsettings>

I will try making that change to the settings but near as I can tell it shouldn’t affect my setup. My tv and Xbox both report HDR as working.
