No Artwork In Kodi Remote
#1
Not sure if this is the right place to post this.  I am not having any artwork displayed in the Kodi Remote app, both IOS and Android.  Problem is also across Kodi releases, same problem happens in Leia and Matrix.  All functions in the remote work properly so I know the app is connecting.

Any suggestions what I should be looking at?  There are no errors in the log.

Somehow this sounds like an access problem. I guess you are seeing the art in Kodi itself. To confirm it is not and issue of the phones you can try to call http://yourip:8080 from a computer connected to the network. I would expect this to fail as well. Then call http://localhost:8080 from a browser on the machine on which you're running Kodi. If then artwork is shown, there is something blocking the access.

If it's an access problem then I am not seeing anything in the logs.  I am also receiving some artwork, music albums and movie sets.  I am unable to test with a localhost since I have Kodi running on a NAS and I only have one output, so I an either run the browser or Kodi.  I admit I'm not an expert and there may be a way to do this but I do not have the knowledge required.  There other test gave the same results as the app.

From your first post I understood no artwork is shown at all, in your second post you stated that "some" artwork is present. Can you give some examples on what is shown and what not? Are you seeing the artwork (which is missing in the Apps) in Kodi itself? Do you know if the artwork was pulled from the internet via scrapers when scanning the media files?

Would still be good to know, if you can see the artwork with a browser running on the NAS (http://localhost:8080). Kodi can run in the background while you test this.

So this is very confusing, I am back to believing that I am not getting any images (sorry for the confusion).  I deleted all of the sources, re-added them and no artwork is being displayed in the remote app.  All artwork shows properly using the regular Kodi interface.  I also installed the same release of Kodi on a Windows laptop and when I connect to that instance all of the artwork shows properly in the Kodi Remote app.  All of the artwork is located in the same directory as the movie, scraped from fanart.tv using Ember Media Manager.  When importing the movies Kodi is told to use Local Information Only.

Like I stated previously all of the functions in the remote app work perfectly, just no images are displayed.  I would think that if there was a security/blocking issue that nothing would work.  Having said that I am open to any and all suggestions on how to try and resolve the issue (debug logs, etc.).

I recommend to ask for help in the "General" forum (https://forum.kodi.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=111). If neither iOS App, nor Android App nor the access via a browser (Chorus interface) works there is a common underlying problem. I still assume there is a problem accessing the metadata on your Kodi system.
