I am going to buy the cable for my house, and is confused by the types.
Not familiar with it, consider choosing CAT5e or CAT6.
I searched on Google and see the blog, is this blog true or not? 
Can anyone kindly advise and also tell me the reason?

Not sure I see how this is at all relevant to Kodi hardware?

Are you planning 2.5 or 10 gigabit hardware in your house? No, then CAT6, the STP (not UTP) shielded kind, will be enough. The shielded version should have less problems with interference, and the price difference is negligible. CAT 5e can handle gigabit, but why use an older version?
