kopiro/webosbrew-autostart: Simple log app to run autostart items on WebOS (github.com)
Already tried that..
Root and Ssh and telnet all works on startup...the only thing isn't working are the scripts in /init.d folder.

Where do you create the kodi script file, do you save it as linux format? Webos is linux base, therefore script need linux format, as per my understanding.

The player controls won't hide if the cursor moves. That is also the same behaviour as on any other platform.

The logfile is pretty big because it only happened once an episode finished. I also tried using the logfile uploader script and that unfortunately didn't work. At any rate here you go, hopefully it'll contain something of use https://paste.kodi.tv/rutowidibu.kodi

Sorry for double posting but I'm having problems editing my original post above

I've played around a little bit with it and what actually ends up happening is not that the inhibition doesn't work, it's just wonky. Let me explain - I use the nextup script which advances to the next tv episode automatically without a press of a button. During playback of the first user-selected episode everything is fine, regardless how long it is. However, after it's done the screensaver immiediately engages, before the next one even begins playing. After the next one is loaded up and plays, the screensaver goes away, but comes back after a couple of minutes

I know it's bad manners to only paste a section of the log, but I don't have time to sit through another hour-long episode, that being said it should have what's relevant https://paste.kodi.tv/fiqohoposa.kodi

Sure i did...and the script runs Ok with -sh command....it only not working automatically when Webos reboots..as my understanding that this is a limitation to Webos 4.4.2 that it don't run /init.d scripts.

I do have the built-essential and the buildroot-nc4 in kodi-dev and I did the configure step. I followed everything and can't find any difference with the Readme except I use a newer version of ubuntu.

Ty for your help and your builds.

I tried to compile kodi to add inpustream.ffmpeg and inputstream.rtmp
to kodi 21 beta1.

I get the following error when building ffmpeg :
gnutls not found using pkg-config

I'm using ubuntu 23.
The only solution I found was to install libgnutls but this didn't work. I tried disabling GnuTls but I get another error with HTTPS requiring it later.

Is there a simple solution or somebody can compile these 2 add-on for me?
You must use the new “buildroot-nc4”: https://github.com/openlgtv/buildroot-nc...os-d7ed7ee. You also need to install the latest build essential. (sudo apt-get install build-essential)
But you are welcome to try my test builds until then:
inputstream.ffmpegdirect
inputstream.rtmp

I would like to configure default skin to its lowest requirements of system capacity.
I just want the shortest lag of interface.
Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Can I assign any button on magic remote to shutdown Kodi quickly instead of pointing and click twice in the tivi screen.
I also have libreelect on pi3b+ on another screen with a infra remote and I can shutdown by just press one button. It is convenient because I don't need to look at the screen.

I would like to ask for your help,

Tv Software Version: 06.00.30
Model: OLED65B7D

I have installed Kodi using these commands, as I'm facing a cert issue using the homebrew app

install:

curl -L -k -o /tmp/kodi.ipk 'https://mirrors.kodi.tv/releases/webos/org.xbmc.kodi-webos_21.0~b1.ipk'
luna-send-pub -w 20000 -i 'luna://com.webos.appInstallService/dev/install' '{"id":"com.ares.defaultNa
me","ipkUrl":"/tmp/kodi.ipk","subscribe":true}'

The issue is, Kodi is not starting and crashing after the logo is showing

I have read statements with cp wayland lib... but as I understand this is not needed for webos 6 right ?

Hopefully, someone can point me in the correct direction, thank you very much

Really appreciate the effort in porting this to webOS, overall it works really well!

only 1 small issue, audio sync - this is either out from the start or ok and then drifts out over time. I’ve tried various suggested fixes in this thread (pass through in tv and Kodi) which work for a while and then stop working again. Has anyone found a solution?

Any idea why?

LG g3
Kodi 20.90.801
Try to use Mediaportal PVR client
The video is stuttering (stopping momentarily every few seconds)

Other kodi clients to the same Mediaportal server on my network work OK.
Any suggestion?

I confirm the same problem with the client for TVHEADEND. Some channels works fine, with some you can observe this problem. If I record a stream and play the recording after about a while, the recording is fine. For the channel where the problem is, the ratio of the IPB frames in the stream is different. Try to pause the online stream playback and start the stream delayed if Mediaportal allows it. TVHeadend has this option.
