Hi, I have tested a few nightlies on:
LG G4 65 inch Software version: 03.11.05
org.xbmc.kodi_20240802-f6265c87-master_arm
org.xbmc.kodi_20240804-69d56147-master_arm
org.xbmc.kodi_20240629-5810c325-master_arm
Issues:
- cracking sound when using forward and rewind + audio needs to catch up for a second or two
- DTS and DTS-HD sound with delay approx 250-300ms - nothing I could change to fix that; DD and DDP work perfectly fine; workaround for now I assume is setting channels to 2.0 and enable DD transcoding which results with no audio delay but we don't get DTS and DTS-HD of course
- one DV .mkv file:
Format profile :Main 10@L5@Main
HDR format olby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.08.07, BL+RPU, HDR10 compatible / SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible
Codec ID :V_MPEGH/ISO/HEVC
Width :3 840 pixels
Height :2 160 pixels
Display aspect ratio :16:9
Frame rate mode :Constant
Frame rate :25.000 FPS
Color space :YUV
Chroma subsampling :4:2:0 (Type 2)
Bit depth :10 bits
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) :0.065
Stream size :4.02 GiB (94%)
Default :Yes
Forced :No
Color range :Limited
Color primaries :BT.2020
Transfer characteristics Q
Matrix coefficients :BT.2020 non-constant
Mastering display color primaries isplay P3
Mastering display luminance :min: 0.0001 cd/m2, max: 1000 cd/m2
Maximum Content Light Level :1077 cd/m2
Maximum Frame-Average Light Level :547 cd/m2
results in no video played (just black screen) with sound
- and the final, most important, no TrueHD so far. And here comes the question - do I understand it correctly that we will never get TrueHD (with or without Atmos) passthrough as LG doesn't allow 3rd party apps to passtrough TrueHD audio. Is that correct?
Thanks.
