Req Limiter
#1
I'm watching the Marvel movies all over again (in chronological order, not release date.) I have the media player box connected to a good surround sound system.  The biggest problem I have is that if I raise the volume to hear the talking, the sound goes off the charts when the shooting starts. I would like it if Kodi had a limiter tool (like music editors have) so that I can limit the minimum decibels and the maximum decibels. That way when I am watching Marvel movies at 3 in the morning, I don't have to worry that the neighbors might be angry at me.

You can raise the centre channel level in the audio settings toggle it a boost in comparison to other channels. This helps boost speech quite well I find. Have you tried that?
You can set this for each video or for all videos. This allows me to reduce the overall volume. Also my sound system has a "night mode" that reduces the loudness, this might be the sort of feature you are looking for in Kodi perhaps.

Sorry, but I don't want to reset my channels all day long when I switch from movies to youtube to music to etc.
A limiter would do all this for me. I don't want to be watching a youtube about the news with the sound up to hear the talking and then the sudden blasting of the youtube ads. And I don't want to be messing with my channel levels every time an ad breaks in. I have set my channels the way I want them to stay for a looooong time. They are balanced. A limiter feature is what would make a HUGE difference.
