Xbox One Driver for Windows 7
#1
Can anyone point me in the direction to a driver for the Xbox One wireless Controller on Windows 7?

I have downloaded the V1.2 ISO and it successfully installed but I can't pair the controller to it.

This is probably a bit out of scope for this forum as it isn't an issue with Kodi assuch. However a quick Google leads me here and suggests that not all Xbox one controller models can be paired with windows 7 via Bluetooth. Those that can may need a firmware update.

I don't have one of these controllers myself so can't help further I'm afraid.

Does it work only with Windows 7 or will it also be relevant for Windows 10?

I've tried to get my receiver-based Xbox One controllers working with Windows 7, and no luck. Instead, on Windows 7 I use Xbox 360 controllers with a knockoff Chinese dongle and custom drivers (which I'll post if they're needed).

I will be very grateful if you share those drivers.

The driver is "Xbox360_64Eng.exe" from the microsoft website. I'll upload my archived copy here: https://github.com/garbear/xbmc/releases..._64Eng.exe

I'll also supply the instructions that I found alonside the driver:

Code:
THIS IS THE FIX FOR 64x:

Right click on Computer

Go to Properties

Click on Device Manager

Right click on the Unidentified Device
(to determine which device, simply unplug and re
plug, it will disappear and reappear.)

Go to Properties

Go to the Drive tab

Click on Update Driver…

Browse my computer for driver software

Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer

Windows Common Controller for Window Class
- OR -
Microsoft Common Controller for Window Class

Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows Version: 2.1.0.1349 [8/13/2009]
