I have a retina iMac connected by ethernet directly to my router. It also has MySQL already running. I figured even though I use this machine daily, it would work as a MythTV backend. I downloaded the MacPorts version by mistake and the setup couldn't find my MySQL even though the ip address and passwords were correct. I removed that version and installed the regular backend version and tried to run it. It definitely found MySQL since all the tables got configured but the setup won't run. It just flashes a blank screen and quits. Not sure if I should go back to the MacPorts version or what. Any ideas?
