Is there any plans to support volume for passthrough receivers.  Yatse (only available on android) offers an option to control IP connected receiver volume.

There's an open feature request on this since years, but no work was done or started on this. I am personally not planning to work on this, so if no-one else is picking this up, there is no chance this will be added.

Seems so, there are solutions like this: https://github.com/melgu/Denon-Volume
I am not sure which brands support this, I also found references to Marantz.

if these devices adhere to some common official API, then it shouldn't be a big deal to support them. Only some UI stuff to think of.
