EPG Data dissappearing in TVHeadend HTSP Client
#1
Hi there,

maybe someone can help me solving and understanding a very strange effect.
First of all my setup, I am using an 4105 Asrock Board with a Hauppauge HVR5525HD running libreelec nightly-2022-1007-bbb8c6b.
A Kodi 19.90.710 runs a TVHeadend 4.3.2040 as a Docker Container from linuxservers.io.
As frontend for Kodi I use TVH HTSP Client 20.6.0.1.

My problem:
I am using an XMLTV Grabber which is populating the EPG-Channel-Grabber-List of TVHeadend.
This works fine, I see data of all channels I want to see.
I can also see all DVB-S channels in the TVHeadend HTSP Client.
But EPG Data appears when starting the HTSP Client for several seconds (maybe 30) and then scrolling up an down all EPG Data dissappears and will not appear again.
After fiddling around with several settings I installed a TVH Client on my smartphone connecting with above mentioned machine and all EPG Data in question appear permanently.
I am using the exact same user on both systems.

Maybe someone heard about the problem and can give me a hint.

Thanks in advance!

Getting this as well.  When I initially load Kodi, all the EPG Data is populated and up to date.  If I then view a channel or 2 and come back to the EPG, it all says "no data available".

Restarting Kodi restores the EPG Data gain, but the issue repeats.

TVHeadEnd running on a Synology NAS.
Kodi 20 (Latest Nightly) running on an Nvidia Shield.

When I look at the TVHeadEnd Web Interface, all Guide Data is there.

In my case, I had legacy Database files that were failing to migrate/update.

I went into here:
\internal\Android\data\org.xbmc.kodi\files\.kodi\userdata\Database

and purged all older .db files, specifically the EPG* ones.

This has fixed it for me.

Haven't read the last reply but that is the solution I also found out.
There was a database called 13.db.
Log said that it had errors converting it to 16.db.
I deleted both and voilà, it works like a charm!

Thanks for your replies.

Thanks. That solved my issue also. My clients had updated to Kodi 20 Nexus RC this morning and this is when it started happening. Deleting the 13epg db file from withing the file manager in Kodi fixed this issue. Must be a bug that will hopefully get fixed

I meet one more issue, If I have install IPTV simple client & TVHeadend HTSP Client, and then tvheadend's epg can't be updated above Kodi 19.5, but Kodi 19.3, 19.5 is working.

This solution also solved my similar problem (vanishing EPG data on kodi):
delete these 2 files:
epg13.db
epg16.db
in the folder:
userdata\Database
as mentioned in this post:

Thank you! Great!
