I now have TV3 videos playing again, but as they've changed all the media listing pages I'm going to have to go back and re-write the scrapers (so far Expiring Soon and Recently Added are working, but nothing else is).

jmh2002, sorry for the delay replying - I just spotted your question. The URL prefetch will grab the media URLs for each video in a list when making a list of videos. If this is on, each video in the list is an RTMP URL that is the media that needs to be played. If it's off, the URL of the media item points to the NZ OnDemand script, and the script will go and grab the page with the media URL when you try to play the file.

The upshot of this is that if you turn the URL prefetching off, lists of videos will load quicker but each individual video will load kind of slowly. However, with prefetch on the list if videos will take longer (as XBMC is downloading the webpage for each video as it goes), but launching each video from the page will be a lot quicker. It's kind of swings and roundabouts, which is why I've added an option in there, but if in doubt I'd recommend turning the prefetch off.

I'm still struggling with the show listings for TV3, because there's no single standard for the webpage for each show. If only they had an XML feed like TVNZ! I'm also very close to getting Stuff videos working, with only one regex now not working.

I was brought to this forum by my hunt for a Media Centre that had an addon for iSKY. I noticed in some of the code on github that there is reference to iSKY
Did you ever manage to get that part of the addon working?

TV3 shuts service after hack

TV3 has stopped making television shows available to be viewed on mobile phones after its service was hacked.

On Wednesday, a number of popular TV shows that can normally be watched for free on cellphones, but are unable to be recorded by viewers, were illegally downloaded from the On Demand service. Programmes are still able to be watched via streaming to laptops and computers.

Tom Cotter, general manager of digital at rival TVNZ, said he wasn't surprised by the hacking episode.

"The way Mediaworks have implemented their tablet and smartphone service makes it impossible for them to have the level of security that properly protects the production community," he said.

It's funny that they're just shutting it down now, considering that their content has been available for years with RTMPDump and a little bit of knowledge. It's also ironic that TVNZ have said that they're not surprised, when their service was also wide open until fairly recently (and is only unavailable now as RTMPDump and FFMPEG haven't kept up with the new protocols that TVNZ are using, rather than because it's technically impossible to do).

At least TV3's web based service is still up and running, as this is where my plugin gets its streams from. I'll test later today to make sure it's still working.

Anyone had any luck with live streaming tv3, tv1 and iSky?

I have been using a Livestream addon and have had success with 3news and I think One news but cant get any isky to work.

I will post up my xml file later when I get a chance to test one and 3 news again (only works at 12, 6 and sometimes 1030 when the news is on) it was working at the start of the year but since ondemand has changed Im not sure if it affected the live streams

I cannot for the life of me figure out sky though
Anyone able to help, Im guessing the issue is with the login but cant figure out how to add my login details to this
