i can't connect to weather webservice. i have error connection failed error 10060.

the rss feed is working properly and shoutcast also.

i have the latest build (20 may 04) installed.

that is a timeout when trying to receive the response. do you have a proxy being used? you did not tell us any details about your network.

are all your network settings properly set? does imdb work? check to see if you have any other errors when your network is being setup in xbmc.log.

no i don't have any proxy used but i have a firewall between the xbox and my internet router (wrt54g).

yes i think my network is correctly configured because rss feed, shoutcast and smb browsing are working properly. no others errors are logged in the logfile.

imdb doesn't work either.

for whatever reason, chances are good your <nameserver> is not set properly if imdb does not work either.

and it seems like whoever built the build you have does not have the latest fixes in possibly.

anyhow, please check xbmc.log again and check the what is being used for your namserver.

nameserver is correctly configured to an internal dns server that can resolve internet names (forwarders configured). it works fine with the feed of bbc news. i can see this in the log file :

you should still paste your network config from your xbmc.log.

also, check firewall logs then. check to see if the request is being sent properly to xoap.weather.com and if a response is coming back.

if you can snoop the packets going from your xbox all the way to sending out to xoap.weather.com and then the packets coming back all the way to your xbox, that would be great.

also, what is the error for imdb? is it identical?
