Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I wasn’t able to find something about my topic:
My question is, how do I name in my music library the artist folder for artists with a name not supported by the underlying file system?
After having tried almost everything I am now lost
You and I know that it is important to name the folder exactly as the artist name in order to get the correct fanart etc. displayed. For AC/DC, this fails obviously, as slashes are not allowed in folder names. For R.E.M., this fails either, since e.g. Windows and all Windows-based things like SMB etc. do not allow a folder name to end with a dot for a reason only Bill Gates may know.
Any suggestions? I cannot be the only one with R.E.M. and AC/DC in his music archive?!
Thanks in advance!
