Since version 20 releases I have noticed that some of my MKV videos cause a complete crash out of Kodi. In prior releases, the videos that cause the crash would cause a kind of skip in the video and some visual garbage, usually green noise on the screen for a second or two but it would never cause a crash. I have isolated a video that causes the crash and run a test with a clean install / empty config with debug logging enabled. I think this is the root error: 7 error <general>: CVaapi2Texture::Map: vaSyncSurface - Error: the requested VAEntryPoint is not supported (13)
This is an AMD system with an R5 5600 and a 6700XT. I have recreated the crash on two AMD GPU based systems with two different distros. I apologize in advance if this is a well known problem.
