Solved Find path of movie from main view
#1
My Libreelec has been upgraded since many years over several Kodi and hardware versions. So I have quite some rubbish in my library, like extras that have not been recognized as extras.
Sometimes I get some of these files shown as a movie in Unwatched or Random movies. My plan is to clean these up, when they appear. But I cannot figure out, what file that is. If I choose Info, I don't see the file name or path. Isnt't there any way to see the file name and location?

The extras as an add-on Add-on:Extras (wiki) if configured in the advancedsettings.xml in the userdata folder will exclude extras from the library, while giving the skin interface for extras. FTW: Extras can be accessed from the context menu in the video library. By default, the add-on will look in the "Extras" sub-folder for content (can be changed in settings). If you have made an extras folder within a movie folder and it's not first scan, you will need to re-scan for the extras to appear. In your case (You didn't say how many movies are in your library, so this advice for a large one could be tedious), set-up the extras add-on as instructed in the wiki installation ensure it;s functionality, then using the tedious method of manually eliminating anything that is not in the extras that is causing issues (this may in-tale a total re-scan) . Kodi Omega has build in methods of handling extras though the skin interface information, try to familiarize yourself to these functions.

Many thanks PatK,
I had the Extras Addon, but forgot the advancedsettings.xml. Now I am rescanning the library, let's see what that helps.

But is there a way to find the physical location of a Library Element? I though, it would be shown when I open the Information.
But I don't find the file name or location anywhere.

One option would be to leverage the KSCleaner addon and do a CSV export of the Movie View table.  This will give you a CSV file of all of your movies with tons of data.  The strPath field will have the path to your movies and c22 is the path and file name.

Thanks,

Jeff

With the default Estuary skin the path of the file is visible in the information screen when you highlight the Refresh button.

Yes, that is what I was looking for, many thanks!
Cleaning up my library overall helped a lot, but there still remain some files where I messed up the folder structure. Now I can find and correct them.
