Any ways to make XBMC unresponsive(for testing purpose)
#1
I am looking into a way to let XBMC check first if another instance of XBMC exists (already in svn). When it finds another instance check if the instance is responsive. If not kill the nonresponsive instance and go on further with the normal start otherwise.

Maybe someone knows a good way to make XBMC unresponsive so I can actually test if the code is working.

Draw the network plug or disable the network connection via a firewall then shutdown XBMC. This seems to hang XBMC for some time.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
