Could this work for multiple XBMC PCs?
#1
Hi guys,

I currently have a single XBMC installed on a small factor PC with all my media on my main PC.

I have recently got hold of another PC which is to be another Media Center. From forum posts I have seen a central location for config files or a shared library is not possible (please correct me if I'm wrong!).

Due to the way I using both PCs (only using one at any one time) I'm thinking I can get around this issue.

Could a script be written to run on XBMC PC startup that could copy all key settings accross the network to the unit before XBMC it loads up, then a similar script to push the files back to the NAS when the PC is shutdown?

If this seems to be a viable option could some confirm which files would need to be copied back and forth? Would the entire documents and settings folder be required or even enough?

Great work with the continued developent, and thanks for any help.

Cheers Big Grin

I'm not normally a fan of the *bump* but could anyone advise what files would need to be copied to collect all database files, image caches etc?

Thanks
