What did you change in platform.py? I see line 76 but not sure how to change it. Thanks.

I'm running the latest Eden nightly & just pulled newest version of mythbox. Now I suddenly get this error when trying to watch Live TV (which has been working):
Error
Watching Live TV is currently not supported
with your configuration of MythTV 0.24 and
XBMC 0.0. Should be working in XBMC 11.0+

From the log:
ERROR: E | platform.py | MainThread | Line 78 | Cannot determine version of XBMC from build version: 11.0-PRE Git:20111213-fb530e8. Returning 0.0
It looks like the naming changed from PRE-11.0 Git... to 11.0-PRE Git... Editing platform.py resolved the issue.

I just upgraded XBMC for Windows to 11.0-BETA1 and receive the error MythBox Dependencies not met in the lower-right corner when trying to install analogue-mythbox-1.0.4-98-g0d7f3272.zip. What steps am I missing to get this latest version to install?

I had XBMC 10.1 and the downloaded version of MythBox from Get Add-ons but that version didn’t work when I upgraded mythbackend from 23.1 to 24.1.

First of all, sweet app! Love it.

I'm noticing though that certain recordings that have their commercials flagged do not offer me the option of skipping and watching. Has anyone seen this before? In mythweb & mythfrontend they say flagged, and I can skip them in mythfrontend.

I'm using eden, git mythbox and mythbackend 0.24.

@analogue .. what do you think .. is it possible to adapt the addon to run with TVHeadEnd as backend ? I have no idea about communicating with MythTV .. TVHeadend uses RPC protocoll [http://www.lonelycoder.com/redmine/proje.../wiki/Htsp .. If you think it's possible I would give it a try .. unfortunately I'm stuck atm. The RPC communication between the in plain c written Server and a client python script doesn't work but I spot it ...

If you're interested in TVHeadEnd You should probably investigate the pvr branch, which will eventually be merged with upstream:

I believe that somebody is developing a PVR client add-on for tvheadend.

Update: I see that you know about the PVR branch. Sorry. Nevertheless, it seems better to try to integrate/improve the existing add-ons until such time as PVR is ready. For example tsp42's cmyth add-on: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=110694 is getting almost stable enough for regular use (although I still use MythBox on my home system).

On that subject, @analogue I see you were asking about working on dteirney's myth add-on here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?p=6...post626364 (before it was superceded by tsp42's add-on). Are you still planning that? It could definitely benefit from some of the bells and whistles that MythhBox currently has (e.g. commercial skipping, episode number, original air date etc.).

I think I solved my own issue. I had to run XBMC as administrator when installing the MythBox zip file the first time. After that XBMC and MythBox appears to run okay as a normal user under Windows.

I just wanted to thank the person or persons who have created this script. This has helped me retire Windows Media Crap on my windows based HTPCs since I have a nice 6 tuner (2 hdhomerun prime) system in the backend doing all my recording. Thanks!

It looks like maybe your settings.xml file got corrupted. Try removing

/home/bobby/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/script.mythbox/settings.xml

and have MythBox try to regenerate it.

Suggests that it looks like there are more issues with the files in the add-ons data area and not just the settings.xml file. I would completely remove all files and directories from:

and let MythBox regenerate everything.

The MYSQL settings in MythBOX are your MYTHTV's mysql Server settings. So unless the mythtv instance is the same system as your XBMC server you will need that mysql password and ensure the account allows access from a different host.
